Eleven thousand horsepower. Let that sink in for a moment: 11,000. But that’s just an approximate calculation for this NHRA Top Fuel monster. It could be more, but there’s no dynamometer on earth that can measure the gut-wrenching, ear-splitting, asphalt-shredding power of a top fuel dragster engine. These engines are constantly pulled apart and put back together to assure optimal performance on the drag strip. Most teams can completely disassemble and reassemble the engines in less than an hour. But who has an hour to watch an engine rebuild? Enter: Redline Rebuilds. We sent Hagerty’s Davin Reckow and the video crew down to Don Schumacher Racing in Brownsburg, Indiana, to give Tony Schumacher’s U.S. Army Top Fuel dragster engine the time-lapse video treatment. The result? Take a quick look and see for yourself.

Anyone why they were blurring the top inlet side of the supercharger? I'm guessing there is some secret competitive configuration there? What could be so important at that location?
bullet
I found this video far more satisfying watching it at 50% speed. Can see more of the little details.
That is hellpossible.
This is what they put in ricer civics
Where can I get an engine like this for my 1970 dodge charger
looks awesome building a monster with surgical precision, speaking of that why aren't these guys wearing gloves? this will transfer continents to bare metal/rust!? or was it coated by something?
Legend has it they leave the line so hard you have to go back and pick up your internal organs at the start line.
whats the cubic inches
Why only HEMI?? Why not any other V8 engine?
Something ain’t right
There should be more tools and parts scattered across the floor
Porque cuber la entrada de aire del compresor? Why they cover the compressor air inlet in the video?
What fantastic peice of engineering!!!
Why is the super charger blurred? 3:46
thanks youtube algorithm , now i can finally swap the engine on my toyota prius with one of these.
The only way a Chrysler hemi can produce 11,000 hp is if its being pulled by 11,001 horses.
I’ve never worked in a garage or a shop that had a white floor.
My car was 350hp and I thought it was strong until I saw this video. Dammnnn
Will that fit in my camry
Can someone please explain to me why the supercharger was censored ? Or am I hallucinating
Nitro metano 👍🔥
I've been asked what those long, twisted things are which are being pulled out of the engines heart. Since I got no idea about that stuff, can anybody enlighten me and a friend? At 3:00 when he's pulling them out.
Why blur out the top of the blower housing?
Me orgasmiee al escuchar el tremendo rugido de ese motor
Why is the connecting rod made of aluminum and not titanium? As with the Corvette C6 Z06 or ZR1?
That blurred sc port?
Nice 😎👍👍👍👍👍
Incredible!!! Super skilled and they must have memories like elephants to rebuild this without leaving out a washer or something.
I've rebuilt a few small engines, a 1950 Army Jeep 4 cylinder, six cylinder engines, and a Caterpillar D343, but this is a learning experience.
Excellent!!!
1,000 ft and time to rebuild again. lol
Esse depois de pronto fai ficar potência de sobra 😎🙌🤙🤙
dafuq is sitting ontop of that engine?
11,000HP with a semi-guaranteed lifespan of 3 seconds. When you think of all the forces involved this is an amazing engine.
Most teams can completely disassemble and reassemble the engines in less than an hour. nuffsaid
That was satisfying to watch
EPA limited these engines to only 10.000 hp for economy purposes
Algum br?
How much power it can make with a turbocharger? (cca.) What do you think?
For those snowflakes who still underestimate drag racing, you do realize that they used to rebuild their engine every race.
I used to clean my kitchen with that dragster hemi
